Transportation Senior Designers and Transportation Designers
Job Responsibilities:
- Diablo has multiple open positions for candidates that are unlicensed civil engineering designers. This position requires high proficiency skills with AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare roadway design plans and details – typical cross sections, layout plans, profiles, utility plans, drainage plans, detour plans, and stage construction plans.
Candidate Qualifications:
- 8 – 15 years’ experience supporting designs associated with roadway, highway, transit, railroad, and/or bicycle facilities
- Preferred Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, but hands-on practical skills and experience within the roadway/highway design field are also desirable.
The ideal candidate currently possesses the skills or can demonstrate the ability to learn the skills necessary to perform the following.
- Supervise the development of transportation design deliverables – concept geometric designs, preliminary cost estimates, draft and final technical reports, 35%, 65%, 95%, 100% and final plans, specifications, and estimates.
- Supervise junior engineers and designers to effectively achieve project and client objectives.
- Effectively coordinate and collaborate across all multidiscipline technical aspects of complex roadway improvement projects.
