California Professional Civil Engineers – Transportation Project Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
- This position is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced transportation civil engineer to work on exciting Bay Area projects. Diablo has several projects where the ideal candidate will immediately be integrated into our dynamic team – working with public agency clients, highly skilled subconsultants/teaming partners, and hands-on experienced principals that will provide you with many opportunities to grow your project management skills.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
- California Professional Engineer
- +8 years’ experience designing roadway, highway, transit, railroad, and/or bicycle facilities
The ideal candidate currently possesses the skills or can demonstrate the initiative and ability to learn the skills necessary to perform the following.
- Supervise the delivery of transportation design deliverables – concept geometric designs, preliminary cost estimates, draft and final technical reports, 35%, 65%, 95%, 100% and final plans, specifications, and estimates.
- Supervise design engineers and designers to effectively achieve project and client objectives.
- Attend and manage project team meetings, client meetings, community workshop meetings.
- Prepare well-written and comprehensive documents and communications – including emails, reports, specifications, proposals, white papers, grant applications, etc.
- Collaborate with subconsultants and teaming partners to ensure all project issues and design details have been properly coordinated.
- Manage the process or perform Diablo’s independent quality control and/or quality assurance procedures on current projects.
- Effectively coordinate and collaborate across all multidiscipline technical aspects of complex roadway improvement projects.
